Definition: MDH Ltd, an Indian company, was established in the year 1919. Place of Origin: Raita can be said to be a type of dessert item, but one which is also taken along with the main dish. In India, raita is taken as a side dish or enjoyed mixed with white rice. It consists of finely chopped vegetables in a bowl of beaten yoghurt. Raita is a North Indian recipe. Dahi Vada, on the other hand, is a South Indian dessert item. It consists of natural yoghurt, ginger and tamarind chutney. Raita and Dahi Vada, therefore, have come from two different parts of the country. Use of Products: The MDH Dahivada Raita Masala is a blend of spices and should be used as such. This means that it should not be used like common salt not to make any other food preparation other than these two items. Traditionally, and for practical reasons, this spice blend is added near the end of the cooking cycle, and is then stirred gently until it has mixed well. You may also add a small sprinkling on the top for garnishing purposes.

Benefits: The MDH Dahivada Raita Masala blend gives you many benefits. It contains cumin, black pepper, nutmeg, chilli, cloves, black salt, coriander, white salt and bishop’s weed. Cumin helps in digestion and boosts immunity. Both black and white pepper have antibacterial properties and are a rich source of Vitamin C and dietary fibre. Nutmeg soothes indigestion and reduces insomnia. Chilli is said to prevent cancer and heart decreases.
